You ignore the pain and hoping that it will go away ?

This is one of the most common fault people doing wrong.

Pain is your body’s way of telling you that something is not right and that you need to get it looked at by an expert.

What would you do if a warning light flashed up on the dashboard of your car? You’d take it straight to a garage to get it checked out for fear of doing further damage if you don’t get it fixed.

It should be exactly the same for us humans. The longer you leave it the more damage you could be doing so why would you take that risk?

  1. People are getting the wrong diagnosis from their doctor. It’s not the doctor’s fault. They are not musculoskeletal experts so it is very difficult for them to know exactly what the underlying cause of the pain is. Medication is also not going to solve the underlying problem.
  2. Some people just get used to the pain and put up with it. They are not sure who can help them so they don’t seek out the advice from an expert like an osteopath.
  3. The other big finding was that some people think that pain, like grey hairs, is inevitable as you get older and there is nothing you can do.

There is lots you can do. You just need to speak to the right people and get the right advice and treatment.
